Barrow RL Club Searching for AussiesSean Fagan of RL1908.com Keith Nutter, the author of a number of rugby league books and the Barrow club historian, is searching for information on Australians who played for the club. Keith is collecting information to compile a database (including photographs) with a proposal of a book documenting every Barrow player since the club was founded in 1875. "The following is a list of players I am trying to source a photograph for and also any information I can get (date and place of birth and a potted life history, etc). I believe they are all Australians and I have written notes detailing what information I do know. I hope your visitors will throw something up on these. Cheers and thanks for all your help." If you have any details, want to compare notes, or a family relative, please contact Keith at: lou681@hotmail.com DUANE LITTLE: Played for Barrow in 1996 and came from Australia. I dont know his Aussie club unfortunately. DAVE WOODS: Played for Barrow in 1986. Don't know his Aussie club but apparently it was of the bigger ones. It appears that whatever club it was they had TWO Dave Woods - one who played a lot of games and one who didn't. Our Dave Woods is the latter - ie the least famous of the two. NEIL BANGLE: Played for Barrow in 1972-73. Again I don't know his Aussie club but I do know that he was still in England (London - working) in the mid seventies. BILL H CANE: Played for Barrow in 1966. Aussie club was North Sydney. He also played briefly for Wigan in England. RUPERT UPTON: Played for Barrow in 1910 and came from the Glebe club in Australia. DAVID BROWN: Played for Barrow in 1909-10. Came from Eastern Suburbs. GLEN BARBER: Played for Barrow in 1995. Definitely an Aussie but might have been a RU player. JACOB (JAKE) MASTERS: Played for Barrow in 1995. Not certain he is an Aussie - might be a Cook Islander. AUBREY BAILEY: Played for Barrow in 1969. Came from Wentworthville/Parramatta. "If your regular readers/contacts may be able to help me out, that would be most appreciated." Cheers
